Understanding the reasons for getting food allergy
For the health growth of children, food forms to be an essential one. But for
many kids inoffensive foods like butter sandwich, milk, scrambled egg and peanut
may not be accepted by their bodies and cause problems. This worries the parents
and it appears to be a major problem for them. It is estimated that the
percentage of children suffering with allergy under three figured to six and
eight and it is still expected to increase. It is also found out that the kids
suffering with peanut allergy has become two folded in the resent years.
Further, researchers are struggling to find out the reason for such a huge raise
in the quantity of victims. They are suspecting that it may be due to the
amalgamation of environmental as well as hereditary factors.
Usually, the symptoms for food allergy may crop up just in a fraction of time,
hardly within an hour. Hives (raise red welts), diarrhea, wheezing, vomiting and
swelling near the lips; eyes and tongue are some of the symptoms formed commonly
for kids. In harsh cases, many symptoms may be formed at the same time and it
appears to be life threatening and it is called anaphylaxis.
Almost ninety percent of the allergies are mainly caused due to some of the
common foods like eggs, milk, wheat, tree nuts, shellfish, soy, fish and
peanuts. And they are called as the “huge eight” in the allergy circles. When a
child founds to be allergic to any of the above, naturally, she becomes allergy
to the others also. Tree nuts, Shellfish, and peanuts are major items that cause
anaphylaxis.
Kids allergic to environment or food possess immune systems which are
miscalibrated. The immune systems react to the protein contents in certain food
as if they are the harmful things for the body just like viruses and bacteria.
If a baby takes in for first time any food items their body develops antibody
which is known as lgE, this gets attached to the cells which lives in nose,
lungs, throat, and gastrointestinal tract. And whenever your child takes the
resisted food item, these cells starts their activities and forms symptoms like
hives on their face.
If the parents are the sufferers of allergy then the children has thirty percent
of chances to get allergy and if both the parents are the sufferers of allergy
then the children has sixty percent of chances to get allergy.
If your child gets vomit or diarrhea after drinking plenty of milk, she must
have allergy for milk, but you can’t be sure. The symptom of allergy may be
gastrointestinal upset. The reason for this situation is that the child may not
be able to digest the lactose of sugar instituted in milk and the other reason
is that the immune organs of the body may decide it as a damaging microbe
